Thankfully, this has nothing to do with the beer making process. As much as I'm sure brewers would enjoy pumping 3,000 litres of beer from a kettle into a fermentation tank by hand, we've got electricity and machines that can suck a golf ball through a garden hose. It's just not necessary.
