  The Life of Riley

Two kids who met at university in a horribly small town, pressing out catchy two-minute pop songs for people who would rather headbang to ska-punk and listen to people who use guitars chiefly as percussion. When cooped up in-studio, they possess a wide range of musical talent – wielding all manner of stringed things – but on-stage their songs are stripped to the bare essentials, with the occasional interlude on their gold glockenspiel.

After releasing and selling out all 100 handmade copies of their first album, The Golden Age of Us, in 2011, and a whistle-stop tour of South Africa’s not-very-major centres (including an appearance at Splashy Fen that garnered at least two lukewarm blog reviews), Terri and Nick have settled down, for the time being, in Cape Town.
